We helped Bri move this weekend, lots of driving, road snacks, driving while trying to enjoy the rural Wisconsin countryside. We hit no deeer, but had to slow down to give them time to clear out once. Snow started Sunday morning after all was done, so the weekend went well.
We are making our seed list, will review and discuss with Bri, and hopefully order next week.
The do list gets longer every time we think about the place! Latest thought: Doing a Murphy bed in one room to make it an accessible guest room. Also, we were thinking of buying a sleigh type bed for us, but instead, may just make our own. We agree we are getting tired of the air mattress that slowly deflates over night.
I've been reading a bit lately about diaster prep, so
Question for the week: What is in your bug out bag?
To answer your question-we aren't prepared at all-we don't even HAVE a bug-out bag.Pitiful.
ReplyDeleteBri's new job sounds like a win-win situation. But how does she really feel about getting back to wearing the big white hat? It sounds like a neat fit, though.
I like your potato pic. I've let potatoes sprout some wings, too, but those will get them to your house in Wisconsin!
With snow coming tomorrow and freezing temps, it may be a while before you can utilize your seed list. Was able to transplant several perennials these last couple of weeks though, and gave Andy a good start of daylilies.
Bri will be cooking lunch for ~35, and dinner for the farm managers. She will be quite busy. I think she mostly wants to learn about farming, and learning new things in general.
