39 below

This morning, ran out in my jammies before the sun was up, and saw -39 on the thermometer.

Then I did the hot water fling, and it looked great.

This is the coldest I have ever experienced.

  1. We did the water fling too! The wind was so strong, it was like it turned into a tornado and headed for the heavens. Barkley loves the snow, but now we are putting up with the mud, mud, everywhere. I've washed his feet so many times, I feel like a Catholic. (We did this for our 2nd-graders when I taught at St. Michael's) It was 60 today and it is expected to fall to 14 tonight. Geeze! I hope this nonsense stops. By Valentine's Day if we don't start having nice sunny days, I begin to moan like a wounded animal.
I had a root canal 10 years ago, and started having pain in that area. Turns out a wisdom tooth that has been laying sideways for my entire life is now pushing into the far back molar and causing damage to it. It's roots are very close to the mandibular nerve, so this could get very complicated. Any-who, for now, I'm being patient to see how things go and take my time deciding how to deal with this nuisance.
    All for now....Mare

    1. Weather- we had a weird, sharp increase in temps after the cold snap also. Got up to to 45 F here, and we even had a few bees come out of the hive to relieve themselves on the snow.

      Back to cold now.

Hope the dental issue ends up well. We are getting older, and things eventually start wearing out. Can't wait till hearing aids get cheaper..........

All our garden seeds are ordered and received now, will be starting onion seeds in a little over a month.
